RTF Blog 3

Throughout the 1920's the radio industry began booming and was a major part of  many Americans lives. The most important force that helped shape the radio industry were the industries themselves; who established the first advertisements and who created networks on which radio programing was broadcast on.
The force of industries or the industrial factors make it possible for there to be more than one network providing programing on the radio. They produce commercials, programing, and networks that might promote products, services, or stars. They also provide entertainment for the viewers or listeners with a wide range of different shows.
Industries affected the evolution of U.S. radio system by making the radio available to the public; they provided entertainment to the public through mass communication. Not only did they do this but they also used radio to help companies sell products. The radio system was very big throughout the 1920' because it was the industries who kept people in touch with the the world and kept them entertained, while at the same time being informed of products. A good example of this, I found in the lecture, when during a show the radio star would promote and  advertise a product.
